"I made another funny!" *play cheesy 80's music*

I love splinter, specially the classic look. I guess this one would go with my old turtles "re" invention [link] . Though I really didn't do much here in terms of coming up with anything new. This was originaly going to be a sketch for the new blog [link] but ended up with splinter instead. I would like to keep doing the rest of the cast at some point.

Cheers!

Looking at him, I can just picture Kevin Clash's voice- awesome take on him!

Man you continue to amaze me. Love it dude, It'd be great to see the 4 turtles with this kind of color treatment in your style. Do you have any plans on putting a sketch book together for cons or anything?

Jeesh Rob, thanks man.Yeah, I'll probably start putting something together, the guys over here do some really nice hard cover stuff. Might go with somehting like that? Not sure, whats your expirience? Small and cheap, or hard and expenssive? that doesn't sound right... lol

I'd suggest the smaller ones to start with, You can get a black and white 40 page book (the 8.5x11 folded and saddle stapled) for around $1.50 a book. You can get better prices online, but I suggest going to a local printer so you can talk to someone face to face. Get a print run of around 50-100 and see how they sell. $10 is a good price point to move them. If you get a color cover, it is just a little more. Probably $1.75 a book. I recently did a 100 qnty print run, black and white interior, 60 pages color cover for $2.00 a book.

The hard covers or larger format books will run atleast $5-$6 a book for even something as low as 50 pages. You can get the printing done out of country for around $3.50 a book but you have to make sure it's a credible source. I know a few, but I've stayed domestic to keep from dealing with language barriers or time delays.

I'd hold off on the hardcover format until you either have an established audience or a property (creator owned or otherwise) that you can bank on the interest in your work. Then you know that will translate to enough sales to cover your printing costs atleast and the rest is profit on your work.

It's also a very nice tax deduction to get the books made. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'ts not like I'm hitting up as many cons anyway. Atleast until I have more stuff. You are right. Thanks a million Rob! you are the man!
